For this week's ‘Idaho Adventure’, we embraced the winter cold in the Long Valley and took it head on with a horse drawn sleigh at the McCall activity barn.

There's nothing quite like being near the snow covered mountains during wintertime.

"It's just really gorgeous, there's just nothing like a blue sky in McCall on a sunny day, you just don't see this color blue everywhere," said April Whitney, Communication Director at Brundage Mountain.

Sleigh rides began last year at the McCall Activity Barn, it's one activity that's suits the entire family.

"Any age can do a sleigh ride, it's really fun, you do want to bundle up because even though it's sunny out here, you are in the mountains and its winter, but people are just giving really good feedback that's it’s a really good family activity," said Whitney.

"It was great! It was a lot of fun, it's cold, it's windy, but we've had the best time...It's just being out in the open air, Matt was charming, he was absolutely delightful, we just had a good time," said Eileen Turner, Hansen, Idaho.

As for the sleigh drivers, "I just like being out here, the atmosphere is great, getting to work with horses, I would much rather do this that sit in an office somewhere," said Matt Loomis.

The McCall Activity Barn has extended their hours during the winter carnival, more information can be found here.
